My Take on the Interview
This interview definitely taught me a lot. Her being my best friend, i just assumed I knew everything about her. I never really sat and thought to ask her questions like these. Now, I see how important they really are and I feel extremely close to her after it. As a society that is very quick to judge, it's easy to look at a teen mom and say shes too young. And she probably goes out all the time, and her life is ruined or over. People have this mindset towards girls that get abortions as well. People say that you should have been more careful and you sinned. Whatever decision you make in the situation you are judged. Not only does my friend have to raise her son alone, but she will constantly be criticized. My mother was also a teen mom and she experienced all the same. Through this interview I really learned a lot of things that I didn't know that seem to just be common rituals of teen parents. My mom has told me similar stuff about her scheduling, school, family, etc. I truly learned the hard work and dedication that is put into being a parent especially when you are also attending school, working, etc.
